Join Gareth Martin, Assurance Partner at EY Northern Ireland, for a 45-min interactive discussion exploring how businesses can move beyond reporting and compliance to create meaningful, lasting impact. A thought-provoking conversation on sustainability, transformation, and the future economy.
A practical, interactive workshop exploring how one organisation’s waste can become another’s resource. Participants will identify opportunities to divert materials from landfill, reduce reliance on virgin resources and uncover potential Scope 3 carbon and cost savings through industrial symbiosis.
Participants are encouraged to bring along examples of resources that their business has or currently wastes, and resources it wants or purchases, and explore potential matches with other organisations in the room.
You’ll leave with: practical ideas for reducing waste, carbon and procurement costs, potential new supply chain connections, and opportunities for collaboration that can be put into action.
Step into the decision-maker’s seat in this interactive workshop from Encirc, led by industry expert, Martin Doherty.
Working in teams, you’ll take on the challenge of building and decarbonising a glass factory in Northern Ireland, making real-world choices around energy, infrastructure, recycled materials, cost and carbon.
Expect plenty of debate, a few unexpected challenges, and practical insights into the trade-offs facing energy-intensive industries as they transition towards net zero.
This 45-min, drop-in lunchtime and learn session, run by Adler & Allan, will focus on how Nature-Based Solutions can be implemented in the Agri-Food Sector.
Attendees will gain an understanding of the different types of Nature-Based Solutions (Forestry, Peatland, Blue Carbon) and the benefits and challenges of each. The session will include insights into how Nature-Based Solutions can be successfully deployed to absorb carbon, enhance biodiversity and improve land quality.
