Clifden EcoBeach Park has been awarded the prestigious EU Ecolabel for Tourist Accommodation, becoming the only tourism accommodation provider in Ireland currently to hold the European Union’s official environmental certification.
The award was presented at a ceremony in Dublin hosted by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI), attended by representatives from An Taisce and Fáilte Ireland.
The EU Ecolabel is recognised across Europe as a mark of environmental excellence, awarded to businesses that demonstrate high standards in areas including energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, biodiversity protection and environmental management. The certification is independently verified and provides assurance that accredited businesses meet rigorous environmental performance criteria.
